Former Cabinet Minister Hazel Blears
Ed Miliband used his first speech as the new leader of the Labour party at their conference in Manchester this week, to finally admit that the war in Iraq was not only illegal but fundamentally wrong on every level. This attempt to cleanse the heart and sole of the Labour party and remove as many skeletons from their cupboards as possible, may be why former Cabinet Minister Hazel Blears decided to come clean and tell the truth about the "wicked and malicious" manner in which the Labour party sometimes conducts its business. Whilst speaking at a fringe meeting Hazel Blears is alleged to have described the last Labour government as sometimes "wicked and malicious", however, having been challenged about her admission afterwards, now claims she was talking about senior Conservative Eric Pickles. But a recording of the meeting has since emerged, which calls into question her version of events that she gave to Andrew Neil on Tuesday's Daily Politics Show.
