Hazelslade Nature Reserve

The Hazelslade Nature Reserve sign is now in place at the entrance to the main car park off Cannock Wood St. Thanks to the work of Hazelslade & Rawnsley Community Association, the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), Cannock Chase District Council and Councillor Mawle, visitors can learn some of the history of the reserve and find out about the abundance of Flora and Fauna on site.

Crossing Petition Launched

Following discussions with Rawnsley residents, Councillor Mawle is spearheading a campaign to get a pelican crossing on Littleworth Road as close to Happys Convenience Store as highways health & safety rules will permit.

Hazel Slade Post Office Reopens

Local Lib Dem Councillor, Darrell Mawle, got involved when the Post Office closed in Hazelslade. Good news...the Post Office is now open. Well done to all those involved in the campaign to get it reopened.

HAZELSLADE NATURE RESERVE GETS CASH BOOST

Hazelslade & Rawnsley Community Association have decided to start up a Community Speedwatch. A small group of volunteers including Councillor Mawle will soon commence some training before checking speeding traffic on our streets. Raceway Negotiations Prove Successful

The Hednesford Hills Raceway new lease in very close to being signed. Your Local Liberal Democrat Councillor, Darrell Mawle has been involved in high level negotiations with the new owners to get the best deal for the local residents while allowing the venue to remain profitable in these challenging economic times. The new code of practice the Raceway will have to adhere to, will be available for public viewing on the councils and Raceways website soon. Some of the concessions made by the raceway have been:-
